Amprobe AT-5000 PRO Underground Cable & Pipe Locator System

Locate underground energized and de-energized wires, cables and pipes. Using superior design and powerful software, the AT-5000 professional underground cable and pipe locator system is the new standard for locating and pinpointing faults in the underground systems. Distance sensitive Left / Right indication guides the user to the exact location of the buried utilities and forward-looking Guidance Coil alerts for bends and Ts. Signal Select and Distortion Alert visually indicate a clean signal of the traced line, instead of false signals coming from neighboring lines.

System has three testing modes. Passive Power Mode (50, 60, 100 and 120 Hz) traces energized lines and Passive Radio Mode (RF) traces underground objects. Active Mode uses the signal generator with a 491 Hz and 166 kHz frequency range, either with induction mode or directly connected to the cable with test leads or optional clamp. A 10 Watt variable output transmitter produces an Active Mode depth measurement of up to 20'.

Other features include an audible signal and bright color display with easily read graphics, powerful Digital Signal Processing in both receiver and transmitter, automatic or manual gain mode, and receiver Bluetooth® wireless communication for downloading survey results.

Includes receiver, transmitter, connection cable, ground stake, ground cable and carrying case. The 4.9-pound receiver measures 29" x 8.25" x 13.25" and runs 30 hours. The 8.24-pound transmitter measures 9" x 11" x 6.74" and runs up to 12 hours.
