Full-cycle Burndy HYTOOL™ accommodates copper compression HYDENT™ connectors for #8-#1 code conductor, #8-#2 Class I flexible strand copper conductor, #2 Solid and #3 Stranded . A color-coded die wheel rotates to match the die with the color-coded connector. The die index is embossed on the crimped connector for permanent inspectability of installed connectors to ensure consistently reliable and dependable connections.
A ratchet mechanism assures that the tool must complete a full-cycle crimp every time before releasing. The emergency release mechanism allows this tool to be removed from the connector in case of mistaken die choice or to reposition the tool. Molded comfort grips reduce fatigue during continuous use.
