The Wilcom F6230A Visual Fault Locator is a lightweight, hand-held visible laser light source used to isolate high losses & faults in fiber cables. This pen style VFL emits a beam of red light into a fiber so breaks can be seen as a glowing red light. This visual fault locator can be used with either single mode or multimode cable sections and is recommended for cable lengths up to 3 km. The Wilcom Visual Fault Locator is extremely useful for identifying tight bends or crimps, faulty connectors, damaged components, bad splices and fiber breaks.
