FSM-60S AFL Fusion Splicer

The Fujikura FSM-60S Fusion Splicer sets the standard for core alignment fusion splicing. It incorporates a user-friendly interface with enhanced features to provide the most rugged and reliable fusion splicer on the market today. Durable construction adds improved reliability by resisting shock, dust and rain. Wind protection allows splicing in 34-mph winds. It even withstands a 30" drop test.
This system splices a fiber in 9 seconds and heats a 60-mm splice sleeve in 30 seconds for a total cycle time of only 39 seconds. Automatic tube heater operation, user-selectable clamping (sheath clamp or fiber holder), automated monitor image orientation and battery charging during splicer operation provide users a reliable productivity tool. The splicer also features automatic arc calibration and fiber identification. Color LCD with anti-reflective coating has excellent visibility in bright sunlight. Long-life battery option provides up to 160 splice/heat cycles per charge. A detachable work table is incorporated into the transit case.
The included software provides the ability to download splice data to a PC for splice data reporting, download splicer operating software via the internet to maintain peak performance and download video images from the splicer to enhance technical support.
