Model NTS2-NSKIT is a NetTool™ Series II Network Service Kit. The Fluke Networks inline network tester verifies network connectivity and availability quickly. Series II has unique features. NetProve™ diagnostics isolate device and application connectivity issues in seconds. IntelliTone digital signaling locates cables on active networks quickly and safely. Inline Gigabit vision troubleshoots network problems quickly with powerful inline vision into 10/100/Gig traffic between switches, PCs, IP phones and other devices. PoE measurements verify readiness of PoE systems and troubleshoot PoE device problems.
Use Autotest to troubleshoot the cabling infrastructure and test active Ethernet networks. The tester features cable testing, problem log, protocol discovery, device and service discovery plus visibility into link configuration and health. Review PC network configuration. See VLAN identification, priority and frame counts for PC and network. Spot available network resources. Identify protocols on PC and network plus distinguish service at network drop. NetTool provides inline, reporter and PoE voltage. Inline functionality reduces testing time and frustration. Connect it inline between PC and network to see advertised and actual duplex settings, negotiated speed and link configuration. View PC-to-network conversation with PC's network addresses, servers used, VLAN ID and CDP information displayed. Also see how PC is configured: MAC and IP addresses, servers (DHCP, e-mail, HTTP and DNS), routers and printers used. Verify connectivity to other network devices by using IP ping features. Ping a default router or another device or select a list of up to 10 network devices. Reporting capabilities show test results, identifying network resources and PC configuration, which can be downloaded and shared with others.
VoIP features include boot/call log and VoIP monitor for phone installation. Verify and troubleshoot IP phone-to-network connectivity. Connect NetTool inline between IP phone and network to solve many problems without a protocol analyzer.
