JDSU 200X/400X QuickCapture Inspection Probe w/ USB Kit

The FBP-P5000 Digital Inspection Probe is a portable hand-held microscope for viewing patch cords, connectors in bulkhead adapters or receptacles and hard-to-reach end-faces. You won't need to access patch panel backs or disassemble hardware devices first. This JDSU probe requires an inspection tip and PC which powers the unit through the USB 2.0 cable. It provides horizontal, vertical and diagonal fields of view for low and high magnification levels. The probe requires very little user assembly. Just attach an inspection tip. Use probe body's focus control to achieve a focused image of fiber end-face on screen.
Press the QuickCapture™ button to freeze the current image and cause FiberChek2&%153; fiber inspection software to analyze the end-face for dirt, scratches, defects and epoxy gap size. FiberChek2 features live image view and capture with advanced analysis. It captures a series of digital images, identifies and characterizes defects and contamination, determining their location relative to the fiber core. Then it provides a pass or fail result according to user-configurable parameters. FiberChek2 defines the concentric areas around the core as zones. They allow the user to establish failure criteria by evaluating various defect categories including contamination, pit/chip and scratches. Save and archive images and/or test results. Print and export images and/or test results. Also create detailed analysis reports.
This handy kit includes an FBP-P5000 probe with advanced FiberChek2 software and four inspection tips (SC, LC, U25M and U12M) in a carrying case. The 3.88-ounce probe measures just 5.5" x 1.8" x 1.73" and comes with a 6' coiled USB 2.0 cable.
