The PulseTech Pro-HD heavy-duty rolling charger is a fully automatic smart charger with pulse technology. The 12/24V pulsing charger charges and desulfates lead-acid batteries to optimal levels. It automatically senses voltages from 110 to 240 volts and from 50 to 60 hertz, and automatically switches between 12 and 24 volts. With this pulse technology, the charge voltage and current adjust to maximize battery recovery and charging, optimizing battery life.
Because the charger senses voltages it is able to operate anywhere in the world. The portable charger is in a box with wheels, so it can be rolled up to any vehicle. With the battery box open simply attach the supplied clamps to the battery terminals and flip the switch. The combination of smart and pulsing technologies prevents battery gassing, allowing charging while batteries are installed in vehicles. And smart charging with one-switch operation minimizes operator training requirements.
The five LED indicator lights on the charger show the status of the charger and battery being charged. When the unit detects a 12 volt battery a green 12V Charge LED lights, and when a 24 volt battery is sensed a yellow 24V Charge LED comes on. A red LED indicates that pulsing is being applied to the battery and the Charge Complete LED is green. Unit also has a green Power LED that confirms the unit is switched on and powered.
The PRO-HD is designed to charge any type of lead acid battery, including flooded cell, sealed, gel, VRLA and AGM using the supplied clamps. It features 40 amp DC output in 12- or 24-volt modes with thermal circuit breaker and reverse polarity protection. The battery power leads have conventional alligator clamps, low resistance and are very flexible. The case is made of powder coated 14-gauge cold-rolled steel, has semi-pneumatic wheels for mobility and a built-in storage compartment for cables and tools.
