Originally developed for AT&T, these modular plugs are made to exacting specifications. They are constructed from clear thermoplastic housings with selectively gold-plated, high-strength copper alloy insulation piercing contacts preloaded into the plug housings. They allow mass termination of the conductors with one crimp cycle every time! AMP modular connectors are designed as a simple and efficient means of connecting printed circuit boards in electronic systems, data processing systems, data transmission equipment as well as typical telephone applications.
