The Fluke Cable Analyzer features optional interchangeable modules to test single mode and multimode fiber network cable, as well as a module which provides OTDR functionality for single mode and multimode fiber cabling. Specialized Products carries a variety of network cable certifiers guaranteed to provide a quick solution no matter your cable certification and testing needs. From TDRs to Tone Generators and Probes, we carry network cable testers to ensure that every engineering or technical professional has the ability to maintain their cable network.
Digital Multimeters & Analog Multimeters
Digital Multimeters are measuring devices that combine several measurement functions in one unit for the purpose of testing, maintaining and troubleshooting electronic systems and networks. From compact digital multimeters designed for field service use, to advanced digital multimeters for troubleshooting heavy-duty electronic equipment or industrial loads, Specialized Products has the ideal tester for your needs. They are offered with features such as water-proof housing, rubber boots, data logging or PC compatibility. Digital Multimeters accurately measure voltage, current, resistance, temperature and more. Durable digital multimeters are designed to withstand the harsh environments while providing the tools to get the job done quickly and accurately. AC/DC Clamp Meters provide many of the same measurement functions of digital multimeters except in that they provide more functions pertaining to current measurement as opposed to voltage. They allow you to test without having to cut cable or damage connections. AC/DC Clamp meters generally measure to the tenth of a unit making it ideal for electrical work.
Analog Multimeters are ideal for monitoring fluctuating trends and rates. Specialized Products stocks a variety of Simpson Analog Multimeters. They provide bench top accuracy in a convenient and portable unit that is easily carried out in the field. Analog multimeters measure AC voltage and current, DC voltage and current, as well as resistance. Analog multimeters feature resettable overload protection circuits and audible continuity checks.
Fluke Scopemeters can be useful for observing constantly changing signal voltages and for troubleshoot electrical problems in a wide array of industrial and household devices such as electronic equipment, motor controls, domestic appliances, power supplies, and wiring systems. They are used in electrical and electro-mechanical troubleshooting applications. Fluke Scopemeters are portable oscilloscopes that provide more detailed testing to provide graphical waveform, time, shape, distortion and disturbance information.
Optical Power Meters, Fiber Light Sources & Fiber Fault Locators
Fiber optic technology is a growing field in today’s telecommunications and data communications sectors. There is a wide array of tools used for troubleshooting, testing and verifying broadband, datacomm and telecomm networks. Optical Power Meters are a highly accurate hand held tool used for fiber optic power and loss measurements. These fiber power meters are designed to measure the power in an optical signal. Optical power meters are often used in conjunction with Fiber Optic Light Sources to measure fiber optic loss for both single mode and multimode fiber cables. A fiber optic light source provides various wavelength outputs according to the specific need or test requirement. A Visual Fault Locator is a device that emits a beam of light into a fiber. The laser of a visual fault locator, or VFL, allows the user to detect any breakpoint, bend or crack of the fiber glass. It can be used to locate the fault of OTDR dead zones and make fiber identification easy. Specialized Products carries visual fault locators from brand names such as EXFO, Fluke Networks, Noyes Fiber and more.
Ground Resistance Testers, Earth Ground Tester
A Ground Resistance Tester measures and tests electrical grounding systems. It is able to record several types of measurements, including ground system resistance, insulation resistance, earth continuity, current leakage, and ground bond. Poor grounding not only contributes to unnecessary downtime, but a lack of good grounding is also dangerous and increases the risk of equipment failure. Without an effective grounding system, workers can be exposed to the risk of electric shock, as well as instrumentation errors, harmonic distortion issues, power factor problems and a host of possible intermittent dilemmas. Specialized Products features a selection of ground resistance testers that include Clamp-On Ground Testers used to measure ground loop resistance without disconnecting parallel grounds. With their easy-to-use interfaces, durable designs and intuitive functionality, the ground resistance testers we offer are able to meet these requirements for electrical contractors, utility test engineers, and earth ground specialists in the field.
Cable Qualification, Link Testers & WiFi Analyzers
When dealing with the demands of today’s high speed data transmissions, it is important for networking engineers and IT specialists to keep their networks properly maintained and functional. Network cable testers include test equipment designed for a variety of parts within an overall network. A Cable Qualification Tester assists in determining what speeds existing cabling can support and offers in depth connectivity testing. A cable qualification tester tests all copper cabling media such as twisted-pair, coax and audio, plus maps wiring graphically and much more. Specialized Products offers LAN Verifiers as another Ethernet testing option. LAN Verifiers consist of testers such as Etherscope Network Testers or other Ethernet cable testers, as well as Gigabit and VoIP testers all designed to assist in connectivity maintenance and troubleshooting 10/100/Gig, LAN/WAN, fiber and WIFI systems. Link Testers quickly verify and identify circuits and are a must for front-line technicians. PoE Testers provide a quick solution for testing for power over Ethernet in CAT5 and CAT6 wiring. PoE Testers are available for both standard and inline power panels. WiFi Analyzers are network testers that offer a wide range of functionality to determine network availability, security and usage.
Power Quality Analyzers, Megohmmeters
For monitoring the performance and output of power grids, Specialized Products distributes a line of power quality analyzers that are comprised of Data Loggers Data Loggers, Non-Contact Volt Detectors, Megohmmeters and other products that measure the quality of electric power. Megohmmeters, like the AEMC 5070, are also known as Insulation Testers which are electrical test instruments designed to test high voltage, low current signals by using a direct current or DC voltage. By measuring voltage, resistance, and checking for faults, power quality analyzers are able to help electrical contractors and professionals get a good idea of how the electrical system is performing and whether or not it needs to be improved. We offer a large amount of power quality analyzers from brands like AEMC, Fluke, Megger, Ideal and Amprobe.
