Continuous or alternating 77GX Tone Tracer with standard clips features +8 dBm output and microprocessor-controlled circuitry for increased reliability. Use it to send tone for quick, accurate wire identification. It has three selectable tone outputs for multiple line identification, two-line polarity indication for fast outlet checks and selectable power outputs for use on open or shorted pairs. Model 77GX tests for continuity, polarity, voltage and resistance.
It generates a distinctive audible tone that's detectable with inductive amplifier or headset. This Tempo tracer is compatible with ESS, Step and Crossbar. Output tone is isolated from all dc voltages. Also use it to identify tip and ring. Featuring a rugged industrial design, operation couldn't be easier. All tests may be detected, traced or located by audio or LED indicator. Just attach leads to wire or cable via alligator clips or modular plug. Output warbling specifications are slow (2.5 Hz), medium (6 Hz) and fast (13 Hz).
Powered by a 9-volt battery, nominal battery life is 100 hours. Automatic shut-off after four hours in tone mode prevents battery drain. Includes modular plug leads and standard clips. The 4.64-ounce unit is 4" x 1.65" x 1.5". One-year warranty.
