The thinner gold-plated contacts often begin to show early signs of wear and tear in insertion and pulling life-cycle testing. TrueConect offers RJ45 strain relief boots in Snagless and Snagless Full. Snagless full PVC RJ45 strain relief boots will slide onto cables prior to termination. Once the cables are terminated, they slide into place around each individual RJ45 connector. | A PVC + ABS snagless RJ45 strain relief, however, is crimped simultaneously with the RJ45 connector that is being terminated. The secondary crimping action, of an RJ45 crimp tool, will make the RJ45 strain relief boot a permanent part of the connection.
