Y46C Burndy Remote Operated Hydraulic Crimp Tool , 15 Ton

Versatile and economical, the HYPRESS tool features a compact C-shaped head for easy placement and removal from continuous conductor lengths. Use it on all commonly used copper and aluminum products. It's excellent for HYGROUND compression grounding applications through 1" ground rods and up to 500 kcmil taps, terminals and splices.
Dies and adapters lock into or remove from the tool head easily with positive push-button die locks. Safety, strength and high quality are provided with forged steel and precision-machined components. Force developed is 15 tons with an operating pressure of 10,000 psi. Compression terminal, splice and tap connectors are UL listed and CSA certified when installed with the HYPRESS and recommended die set. The Y46-C insulated version has a permanently molded head of 3/16" rubber and includes a separate molded rubber boot to cover the lower HYPRESS body and hydraulic coupler. Dies must be ordered separately.
Remote crimp tool has a 2" jaw opening. Weighing 17.5 pounds, Model Y46-C is 15.12" long with a maximum width of 4.50". Five-year warranty.
