The EXFO KIT-MAX-715B-BASIC-1-91 MaxTester OTDR Installer Kit with 7" outdoor-enhanced touchscreen is designed to be cost efficient while still meeting the needs of technicians in the field. It is optimized for point-to-point testing and troubleshooting of FTTx architectures. and is ideal for testing short fibers. This single mode OTDR with APC connector interface and SC connector adapter features icon-based functions, Windows-like GUI, 12-hour battery life and 2GB of memory. It has been optimized to support the iOLM application (upgrade software license required).
The EXFO MAX-715B OTDR includes the MAX-715B Last Mile Single Mode OTDR for 1310/1550nm wavelengths (30/28dB) with 2x USB 2.0 and an RJ-45 built-in interface, OTDR base software, 150m single mode PSB pulse suppressor box SC/APC to SC/UPC, AC adapter/charger, battery, semi-rigid case, certificate of calibration and instruction manuals.

The MAX-715B Last Mile Single Mode OTDR is a tablet OTDR optimized for handling point-to-point testing, troubleshooting of FTTx architectures and CATV networks and is ideal for handling shorter fiber structures. The MAX-725B is capable of handling wavelengths of 1310/1550/1625 nm with a dynamic range of 30/28 dB. This device has an event dead zone of 1 m, an attenuation dead zone of 4 m, a distance range of up to 160 km, and loss resolution of 0.001. Measurement is user-defined with a one hour maximum and a typical real-time refresh rate of 3Hz and a sampling resolution of 0.04 to 5 m. The tablet is also iOLM-ready with cutting edge software that turns complex OTDR trace analysis into single-touch operations. The MAX-715B sports a 7 inch touchscreen and is equipped with rechargeable lithium-polymer batteries that provide 12 hours of operation.
