It bores a clean hole in a carpet and serves as a drill bit guide to prevent carpet snags and snowballs while drilling through underlying wood flooring. The hardened steel blades cut easily through carpet and pad with a one-handed twisting motion, producing a replaceable round carpet plug. The tool accommodates up to a 7/16" bit and protects the carpet while drilling through sub-flooring.
