Zamp Solar USP1008 140-Watt Unregulated Portable Solar System
USP1008 - 140W Unregulated Portable
Warning - Must wire an inline charge controller into your system when using.
Some RVs have the preinstalled Zamp sidewall solar port wired to an onboard charge controller. This is usually tied into an existing solar installation - common wiring for Winnebago RVs and Four Wheel Campers.
A charge controller first must see that there is a healthy battery before it lets any of the charge through. If 2 charge controllers are wired between a battery and a solar panel, they essentially block each other from allowing a charge to flow. Therefore, Zamp introduced the 140-Watt Unregulated Portable - measuring 32.4" x 21.5" x 3.1" (closed).
140W Unregulated Portable is best for RVs up to 30' or with large 2 battery or smaller 4 battery banks. When adding this to a solar system, expect an increase of 30-50Ah on normal days. It's a great way to add power to any RV that is occasionally parked in the shade.

Made in Bend, Oregon. Zamp Solar started manufacturing solar panels in the U.S. for use in their kits and systems in 2015. They are one of few U.S. solar panel manufactures that warranty their panels for use on mobile applications, like RVs.
Prewired for Solar Ready RVs
Solar Ready RVs come prewired with Zamp Solar ports. There are two types of ports on SRRVs, a solar sidewall port and a solar roof cap. A Zamp Solar sticker indicates when an RV’s sidewall port is already set up to connect to Zamp Solar’s Portable Solar Panels.
Use the Zamp Sidewall Solar Port for a quick and easy way to connect and disconnect your portable.
Extend the range of any Zamp portable solar panel with a Zamp Solar 15-foot Extension Cable.
