This pre-assembled tool kit is designed to help technicians make flawless cable installations and repairs. It features testing tools, such as the 62-200 LinkMaster Cable Tester and 33-684 Tone Generator & Probe kit, along with accessories such as a cable splicing kit and crimping tool.
The Tone Generator & Amplifier Probe / Cable Tracing Kit is used for testing cable problems and health that includes the Ideal 62-164 amplifier probe and 62-160 tone generators. The handheld tone generator applies a tone to a wire pair or single conductor in order to allow the user to identify a wire within a bundle, at the cross connection, or at a remote end. This generator is meant to be used in conjunction with an amplifier probe and can be used on twisted pair, coax CATV, or de-energized AC wiring. This tone generator has three different selectable tones which can be added under any status, allowing monitorless test sets to pick up the tone. The Ideal 62-160 also has a separate talk battery status for increased voltage and power, an auto-off feature to conserve battery, two tone amplitude or normal and half, no power draw in continuity status, an RJ jack with use of modular cable or alligator clips, low battery LED indicator, and constant amplitude over battery life. This tone generator is meant to be used with the Ideal 62-164 amplifier probe to identify and trace wires or cables. This probe allows for almost flawless pin point identification even in the most congested cable bundles and works with the Ideal 62-160 or other tone generator. The probe has volume control for increased sensitivity and is adjustable to suit its work environment and has both a low battery indicator and a recessed on/off button.
The IDEAL Linkmaster 62-200 CAT5 Cable Tester tests for open circuits, shorts, mis-wires, reversals and split pairs. The LinkMaster Ideal cable tester provides a separate debug mode for fault and pair identification. Remote unit has a T568A & T568B wiring chart for exact pinout verification of all 8 wires. The CAT5e cable tester tests all common data wiring configurations, cable shield integrity and patch cords over 18'' long.
The Ideal 62-096 Smart6 Modular Tester is a small handheld device that combines the features of an in-line adapter, telephone line tester, and phone number verifier in one compact testing device. This device is reverse-wired and uses LED indicators to display polarity, jack addresses, and incoming call identification.
