The BURNDY® Y1MRTC HYTOOL™ Manual Ratcheting Crimper offers mechanical compression for crimping copper lugs, splices and C-Taps for #8 AWG - #1 AWG wire. Rotating die wheel holds six color-coded die nests - red/blue/gray/white/brown/green, whose codes are automatically embossed on the crimped connector. The crimper features ratchet mechanism, emergency release mechanism and ergonomic design.
The 1.7-pound Y1MRTC measures 9.875" x 2.72" x .73" closed. Five-year warranty.
The full-cycle Y1MRTC crimper accommodates copper compression HYDENT connectors for #8-#1 code conductor, #8-#2 Class I flexible strand copper conductor, #2 solid and #3 stranded. A color-coded die wheel rotates to match the die with the color-coded connector. The die index is embossed on the crimped connector for permanent inspectability of installed connectors to ensure consistently reliable and dependable connections. A ratchet mechanism assures that the tool must complete a full-cycle crimp every time before releasing. The emergency release mechanism allows this tool to be removed from the connector in case of mistaken die choice or to reposition the tool. Molded comfort grips reduce fatigue during continuous use.
