Thomas and Betts makes the TBM5S color-keyed mechanical compression tool for copper and aluminum connectors and C-Taps. Install #8 AWG -250 kcmil (MCM) copper and #10 AWG - 4/0 AWG aluminum lugs and connectors, and #12 AWG - 3/0 AWG C-Taps. Comes with five multi-nested color-coded die sets, which mount directly on the tool for storage and whose codes are automatically embossed on the crimped connector. Features Shure-Stake ratchet.

Model TBM5-S installs copper conductors from #8 to 250 MCM lugs, splices joints and taps plus aluminum cables from #10 to 4/0. Shure-Stake® feature ensures positive compression. Includes dies. This 9.4-pound tool measures 26" x 4". Thomas & Betts Connectors with Thomas & Betts Tools are UL and CSA approved as a system.
