EXFO FLS-190 High Power Laser Visual Fault Locator

The EXFO FLS-190 High-Power Visual Fault Locator with 5mW output power is designed for testing fiber over long distances, identifying fibers from end to end, and locating polished connector endfaces. With a red laser shining through most jacketed fibers, the VFL finds breaks, bends, faulty connectors, splices and other cases of signal loss up to 12 km. It pinpoints faults visually by creating a bright red glow at the exact location of the fault on single mode or multimode fibers. The FLS-190 is also used to identify the port of a fiber in a patch panel. The operating temperature is from 14°F to 104°F. Battery life: > 27 hours in flashing operation mode and > 15 hours in continuous mode.

The pocket-sized pen-style visual fault locator has anodized aluminum casing. It comes with a 2.5 mm universal connector, Quick reference guide, belt-loop holster and two AA alkaline batteries. Compatible with rechargeable batteries.
