This portable fiber ring is ideal for testing optical fiber links in premises networks. OTDR testing requires launch and receive test cables to measure the end-to-end loss of fiber optic links.

The FR-OM3-150-USC-USC Multimode OTDR Fiber Ring contains launch and receive test cables. It has a laser-optimized, one-fiber configuration with 150 m (492 feet) of SC to SC multimode 50µm fiber. The launch cable connects the OTDR to the link under test and reveals the insertion loss plus reflectance of the near-end connection. The receive cable, which is connected to the far-end of the link, reveals the insertion loss and reflectance of the far-end connection.
