OWL Silicon ZOOM 2 / Dual Multimode 850 Test Kit, ST
The OWL Silicon ZOOM 2 / Dual 850 Multimode Test Kit is used to preform simple attenuation tests on multimode networks. Perfect for use by LAN managers and installers, the Silicon ZOOM II is an economical fiber optic power meter designed to provide accurate testing. It has a LCD display that shows power readings with a resolution of 0.01dB, power units in dBm, dB, or uW, wavelength measurements and it also indicates battery power level. It is NIST traceable, and is configured with a 2.5mm universal port for ST connection.
The OWL Silicon ZOOM 2 Dual 850 test kit includes an optical power meter, 850nm light source, product manuals, 9-volt batteries, NIST certificate, carrying case, and protective rubber boots.
The OWL Silicon ZOOM 2 Dual 850 Test Kit is optimized for testing LAN and Multimode networks. The ZOOM 2 (Zeroed Output Optical Meter) is a fiber optic power meter that is capable of making accurate measurements on multimode fiber cables when used with the appropriate light source. This light source is capable of making wavelength measurements at the 850, 1300, 1310, 1550 nm levels with a measurement range of +5 to -60 dBm and an accuracy of +/- 0.15 dB. The ZOOM 2 contains a 2.5mm Universal connector and displays all readings on a compact LCD screen with a 0.01dB resolution. The ZOOM 2 has a battery life of 250 hours and NIST Traceable.
The Dual OWL 850 Multimode light source is an LED fiber optic light source optimized for Multimode fiber installations with an ST connector. The Dual OWL has central wavelength of around 850 nm with a spectral width of 60nm that is ideal for multimode fiber optics and an output power of -20dBm. Additionally, the light source has an accuracy of 0.1 dB and a battery life of 40 hours.
