OWL Wavetester/ WaveSource Quad MM/SM Test Kit, SC
The OWL KIT-WT/WS-MDSDSC WaveTester / WaveSource Quad Test Kit contains tools needed for certifying fiber optic links in multimode and single mode networks. The WaveTester is an optical power meter that is multimode and single mode ready. It stores up to 200 fiber runs and reference values for all wavelengths used for optical loss measurements. Equipped with OWL Reporter software, data can be downloaded to a PC for report generation. The WaveSource Quad is a combined multimode and single mode light source that has wavelengths of 850 and 1300nm for multimode and 1310 & 1550 nm for single mode. These wavelength outputs are temperature-stabilized for accurate measurements and give reliable results every time.
The fiber test kit includes the Wavetester OPM, the Wavesource Quad light source with SC configuration, OWL Reporter software, product manuals, download cable, 9-volt batteries, NIST certificate, carrying case, and protective rubber boots.
The Fiber OWL Wavetester/WaveSource SC Quad Test Kit is capable of running in absolute or relative modes and stores up to 1000 data points with the ability to selectively view, delete, and resample datapoints. The Wavetester Optical Power Meter takes measurements at specific wavelength calibrations for 850, 1300, 1310, 1550nm wavelengths with a 0.01 dB resolution. It can do both multimode and single mode measurements between +5 and -60 dBm with an accuracy of +/- 0.15 dB. It also features a fiber measurement range of up to 25 km with an accuracy of +/- 25 m and auto-shutdown characteristics. This device has a battery life of up to 250 hours using a 9V battery, can store up to 200 data points, and uses a 2.5/1.25mm universal connector.
The Wavesource Quad light source is capable of taking measurements on both multimode and single mode fiber types. For multimode installments - at the 850 and 1300 nm wavelengths, for single mode installments - at the 1310 and 1550 nm wavelengths. The Wavesource light source can run for up to 30 hours using a 9V battery and features an SC type connector.
